Parent Forum Overview
Parent Forum is the parent group at Polaris K-12 School. All parents and guardians of the school’s students are automatically members. Polaris Parent Forum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation—tax ID#92-0156251. We are not affiliated with the national PTA and have no membership dues. Parent Forum focuses on supporting two main areas: educational opportunities for students and staff, and school governance.
Educational Opportunities
Parent Forum works to provide financial and other kinds of support to enrich the educational experience of students and staff. Through various fund-raising and social events, Parent Forum generates revenue for the school and provides a fun way for our community members to better “get to know” each other.
School Governance
Parent Forum identifies issues and concerns relating to our school and finds ways to address these issues. Parent Forum officers work with the Student Operational Group, staff, and the Advisory Board. Parents serve on the Advisory Board along with student officers and staff. “Ad Board” advises the principal and general school community. It also makes and approves policy decisions consistent with the school’s mission statement.
