Winter 2009 intensive to Argentina & Chile planning in Marion’s at noon Wed Dec 19.

Early release Wed Dec 19 for elementary with pick up by 12:20 pm.

Second quarter ends Th Dec 20.

Fri Dec 21 is an In-service Day with no school for students.

Enjoy a safe & relaxing winter break with Winter Intensives Mon Jan 7-Fri Jan 18, 2008! Remember to pay Intensive fees directly to the Intensive teacher ASAP.

Mon Jan 21 is the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday with many community service projects planned by agaencies around town looking for volunteers.

Secondary students register for 3rd quarter classes on Tues Jan 22 in shifts.

Parent volunteers are needed to work hourly shifts at the ASD Alternative Fair 9-4 Sat Jan 26 in the Eduaction Center at Boniface & Northern Lights. This is a great opportunity for parents to work alongside their students answering questions posed by prospective families about our program. Support Model UN students gift wrapping for donations at Borders Books 5-9 pm Sat Dec 8 and 4-9 pm Mon Dec 10.

“Polaris K-12 School” bumper stickers $3 each or 2 for $5 from Frick_Larry @asdk12.org also support travel for 13 students to the National High School Model United Nations conference in New York City over spring break.

Activity night to support the Africia Intensive is 6 - 9:30 pm Fri Dec 7 with lots of fun for the kids while parents go shopping. $2o each + $10 for each additional student. Children may come as early as 5:30 pm.

Tango workshop sponsored by the Ballroom Dance Club 3:15-4:30 pm Mon Dec 10 open to secondary students, faculty, staff, and parents. Ballroom Dance Club meets Wednesdays at lunch in Kathryn’s thru Dec 12.

Nurse Patty is collected Toys for Tots in December.

The Talent Show last Friday showcased many wonderful student performances while collecting over 100 lbs of canned food for the Food Bank and $383 for charitable causes selected by our African travelers. Many thanks to Bill’s Advisory!
