- Library News from Cindy Lincoln, our Librarian: During intensives, we had our own intensive review on how to use the library. We discussed the Dewey Decimal System, call numbers, and WebCat, and we played a fun game called “Book Hunt” to practice their skills. During the second week, we learned about how to stay safe around moose. Students had some pretty interesting “moose stories” to tell!
We have some awesome readers at Polaris that have been preparing for the district Battle of the Books competition. Students have been reading and practicing since October and are getting ready to compete at the school and district level. Because we have 2 high school teams (only one team is allowed from each school), there will be a school battle to determine which team goes on to the district competition:

The Abominable Snowman is loose in the Bavarian Alps and there is nothing that the Burgermeister, his wife, the ski patrol, or the guests staying in the quaint village of Alpine Oöps ! can do!
