Campfire Afterschool Program at Polaris K-12
If you would like to register for the Campfire program at Polaris, call 279-3551 and get on the list. The list currently contains the names of only eight children. A Campfire representative is meeting with Denise and others on August 4. Getting more people on the list is probably a good idea to indicate that there is enough interest among parents to support the program.
For those of you new to this, after being asked, a Campfire representative came to a Parent Forum meeting last year. At that time there was a lot of desire for an aftercare program within the school, and we think Campfire is the best program available. Parents filled out questionaires telling Campfire how often they would use the program, etc. From my recent phone call I didn’t get an indication of the likelihood Polaris K-12 will be selected to house a Campfire program. I suggest spreading the word and getting parents who are interested to sign up now.
