  • What a vibrant learning environment exists at Polaris K-12!  Be a part of the action by contributing your time and talents.
  • Please thank your student for delivering this weekly installment to you!  Did you see the February 9th Polaris News for the Community?  If not, ask for a backpack check how many treasures from old lunches and broken pencils will be discovered, too?
  • Please read the Wolf Treks newsletter mailed to you this week cover to cover. The bulletin boards outside the Library, www.polarisk12.org, and your elementary student’s Family Group News in Thursday folders are other great sources to stay informed.
  • Pennies for Patients is a wonderful cause to support with your extra coin collections. Toss change into James� office or Family Group & Advisory banks to help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Nurse Patty is also selling 2 hearts for 50 cents until March 3rd.
  • A Traverse Climbing Rock Wall is coming soon in the nw corner of the Gym! Parent Forum wrote the $10,464 check thanks to your generous donations & fundraising.
  • Contribute to Polar!s Now to continue making a difference with your dollars. The Theater project at $28K and many music, art, science, and sports wishes are still on the list!
  • E-Script is an easy way to send money to Parent Forum without spending anything extra. Go to www.escrip.com to sign up your Safeway Club card and other cards to acct#6669341.
  • Coffee and Conversation meets Thursday Feb 23rd 8:30-9:30 am in the Library to share strategies for how parents can enhance learning in the Polaris classroom & community.
  • Report Cards can be picked up in the office by parents or with written permission.
  • Tours Wed March 1 & 8 8:30-10 am–Lottery due Mar 14 3pm
  • The Directory will hopefully be distributed next Thursday. Since that database will go on the brand new Parent Forum computer, please ensure it is correct by visiting the Parent Room.

Op Group February 13

The lunch proposal was passed unanimously and will be voted on this Wednesday at the advisory board meeting.  Ad board is held in the library and will start at 5pm.

Green Star needs help transporting recyclables to the center. Students are available to help load up cars.  Any help would be greatly appreciated; please contact Joe Seitz.

Visit Information Central Across from the Library

The walls across the hall from the library (near the old temporary entrance to the school) have been designated “Information Central”. Parent Forum has posted the latest Wolf Treks and other information. Students, parents, and staff are all encouraged to post information for the community.
